General Information:

We want to make sure you are aware that some sticks cannot be removed when harvested due to extreme softness of the leaf, so you may find a few sticks.

Isatis leaves, also known as Isatis tinctoria, have many potential health benefits, including: Bioactive compounds that can inhibit proinflammatory cytokines and reduce nitric oxide production, strong scavenging activity and reducing power against free radicals. Isatis leaves have antiviral activity, antimicrobial properties, and contain chemicals that might keep cancer cells from multiplying. Isatis leaves may reduce fever and swelling and used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) to treat hepatitis. In China, the roots and leaves are consumed as herbal tea to prevent sore throat. Some research suggests that applying a product containing indigo natural oil extract (Lindioil) to the skin beneath the edge of the nail can improve psoriasis.  ( Not scientifically proven)

      How to use:

The basic method for dried herbs and flower is, take 2-3 tablespoons of dried herb in a cup or teapot.  Pour hot water over it and cover it with lid for 10-30 minutes.  Hot water is needed to draw out the antioxidants, enzymes, vitamins, flavonoids, and volatile oils from the botanicals.  Strain and squeeze out as much as liquid as possible and enjoy!

You can sweeten your herbal tea with a bit of honey, natural fruit juice, stevia leaves powder and or licorice root powder.

You can make ice cubes or pops by freezing tea in ice trays or pop molds.

      Precautions:
