General Information:

Hibiscus flowers have many potential health benefits, including:
Hibiscus contains antioxidants like anthocyanins and polyphenols that can help reduce inflammation, and may help lower blood pressure. Drinking hibiscus tea has been shown to lower blood pressure in humans, help promote liver health and keep it working efficiently. Hibiscus flowers are rich in amino acids, which are a crucial component of keratin. Keratin promotes hair growth, thickness, and manageability. Hibiscus is high in antioxidants, which can help destroy harmful molecules called free radicals. Free radicals can damage cells and contribute to diseases like cancer, heart disease, and diabetes. Hibiscus extract may help reduce body weight and appetite by preventing the accumulation of fat cells. Hibiscus may help with tissue growth and repair, cartilage, bones, teeth, wound healing, and collagen formation. Hibiscus may help with iron absorption. How to use:

The basic method for dried herbs and flower is, take 2-3 tablespoons of dried herb in a cup or teapot.  Pour hot water over it and cover it with lid for 10-30 minutes.  Hot water is needed to draw out the antioxidants, enzymes, vitamins, flavonoids, and volatile oils from the botanicals.  Strain and squeeze out as much as liquid as possible and enjoy!

You can sweeten your herbal tea with a bit of honey, natural fruit juice, stevia leaves powder and or licorice root powder.

You can make ice cubes or pops by freezing tea in ice trays or pop molds.
