Mehendi, also known as henna, is an evergreen plant with many healing properties. Here are some of the benefits of mehendi leaves:

Mehendi can help with a variety of skin conditions, including itching, allergies, rashes, and wounds, it can also help with excessive burning. Chewing on mehendi leaves can help reduce the risk of gum disease and treat mouth ulcers. Drinking henna water or eating henna seeds can help lower blood pressure and relieve stress on the cardiovascular system. A decoction made from mehendi leaves and roots can help alleviate diarrhea symptoms, applying mehendi to the hands can help relieve arthritis pain, put leaves into a ball with water and placing it on the hand can help reduce body temperature. Mehendi can help release excess heat from the body and provide relief from headaches and stomach aches. Mehendi can be used as a hair dye and works for all hair types and style. ( Not scientifically proven) 

      How to use:

      The basic method for dried herbs and flower is, take 2-3 tablespoons of dried herb in a cup or teapot.  Pour hot water over it and cover it with lid for 10-30 minutes.  Hot water is needed to draw out the antioxidants, enzymes, vitamins, flavonoids, and volatile oils from the botanicals.  Strain and squeeze out as much as liquid as possible and enjoy!

      You can sweeten your herbal tea with a bit of honey, natural fruit juice, stevia leaves powder and or licorice root powder. 

      You can make ice cubes or pops by freezing tea in ice trays or pop molds.
